About Driving Force

Driving Force Partnership with Nailsea School

"Driving Force is proud to announce their new exciting partnership with Nailsea School. We are the first driving school in the country to deliver a unique curriculum based Driver Education Programme to 15, 16 and 17 year olds in partnership with this modern technology college."

Driving Force at Nailsea SchoolDriving Force have secured the opportunity to deliver a bespoke Pre-Driver training course and more recently a unique BTEC in Driving and Driver Education to pupils at Nailsea School. The courses consist of both classroom theory and practical driving elements, culminating in the pupils enjoying an opportunity to experience the Castle Coombe Track's unique off road training facilities and for those taking the BTEC, 30hours of in car on-road training.

It is a sad fact, that in the main, the UK driver training industry teaches young people to pass a test hence as is often quoted by parents, “The real job of learning to drive begins after you have passed”

The 16 - 20 age group makes up 7% of licensed drivers, but suffers 14% of fatalities and 20% of all reported accidents and more than any age group, teens are likely to be involved in a single vehicle crash. Lifestyle, lack of experience, overconfidence and a tendency to take risks combine to make young drivers extremely vulnerable to death and serious injury whilst driving.

At Driving Force Training Ltd, we see the aftermath of this lack of effective preparation and so we believe that our students should leave us fully prepared, mentally, physically and emotionally  for real world situations. To this end, in partnership with Nailsea School, we have developed our suite of Young Driver Driver Education Programs.

It is widely recognised that the best way to learn to drive is to take a combination of professional lessons with an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and private practice, supervised by a parent or friend. Private practice allows the learner to practice what they are taught in a wider variety of traffic situations, reinforcing taught concepts and building confidence through repetition and familiarity. Driving Force Training Ltd offer free preparation to parents wishing to accompany their children on-road as part of our BTEC course

We have taken this concept a stage further and offer Nailsea School pupils an educational package, which begins before they are old enough to drive on the road, continues through driving lessons, Pass Plus and should they wish, on to the Advanced Driving Test. We would like this process to be a partnership between the school, Driving Force, parents and the pupil.

The management and staff at Driving Force Training Ltd will pass on their extensive knowledge at every stage, not only during the initial program, but also (should the pupil wish to learn with us) during practical driving lessons and post-test. We can also offer help and advice with car purchase or leasing, maintenance and repairs. Finally, every pupil who chooses to attend the Pre Driver Training Course will receive a discount voucher for the driving school worth up to £150.00.

This comprehensive and rounded driver education program is a unique opportunity, not currently offered by any other driver training establishment in the Country and it is our sincere hope that it will make a positive contribution to the safety of our children as they venture on to the roads.
